I have been watching anime since the 90`s with a little break a few years back. I watched my fair share of excellent,good,annoying and awful anime.I am now going to list my top 5 of the worst anime I ever watched. Here we go
1- BASILISK: The Kouga ninja scrollsBasilisk is based on a popular manga by Masaki Segawa which tells the story of Tsubakagure of Iga and Manjidani of Kouga. who battle each other to determine which of Tokugawa Ieyasu grandsons will be the next Shogun.It`s one of my favourite manga, the storyline is not original but I love the star crossed lovers part, it`s a ninja version of Romeo and Juliet.The animated series was an epic fail it didn`t do justice to this fantastic manga,the battles order were changed,some added and censored scenes. A disgrace to the original novel by Futaro Yamada.
The story is about a high school girl Yasune Oribe ,her female assassin friend Sonya and Agiri Goshiki a female ninja. I have only 3 words for this anime: annoying, boring and useless.
This anime was my biggest deception of 2012, after watching a preview I was so excited about it.It looked so great and badass , being a big fan of Hitman Reborn I thought this will be another fantastic mafia anime.It turned out to be a really crappy anime, the game probably sucks too!
4-HIIRO NO KAKERA:
It`s based on an otome game, it`s about a teenage girl called Tamaki who turns out to be an ancestor princess.Her mission is to seal the sword of onikirimaru with her five guardians.This is so deja vu, the story lacks originality it reminds me of an anime I watched a few years ago called Fushigi Yugi. Anime based on games are so hot this days, after the great Hakuoki series and the epic Sengoku Basara, Hiiro no Kakero was another 2012 disappointment.
Let me say this first, I love light novels and Toaru Majutsu no index is one of my favourite,that`s why the animated series is fifth in my list.
The story is set in a world were supernatural abilities are common and people with superpower awaken via a special power program are called Esper, those who amongst Espers naturally develop theirs are Gemstones and then the magicians.The storyline is great, there is so much potential but the overdone ecchi and harem make it look like one those crappy anime filled with a lots of ecchi to cover the lack of originality. This anime didn`t do justice to Kanzaki who is a great character.

These are 5 of the worst anime I ever watched and this list will probably change with time if I keep on watching anime.

Kill me baby is such a joke, I never watched Basilisk and I don`t agree with you on Hiiro no kakera I thought it was pretty good

I thought toaru majutsu no index was pretty good
I also think basilisk is a great manga but it`s so underrated. Hiiro no kakera was such a disappointment.
I thought index was pretty good. There is a bit of mild ecchi, but I wouldn't consider it harem. I liked railgun much better, but it was index was still okay. I dropped kill me baby and basilisk myself, so good list! This was fun.
Thank you for this list, now I know of few anime I can skip! I'm doing my best to avoid as much awful anime as possible so my time can be spent on the good ones! :D
